Lets talk FALLOUT 3. PS3vs360 and just a ...

Ok I just went and got the game last-night. I was really going to go with the PS3 version considering I have many more games for 360. But Once the new Live update hit I said wait maybe with the install it will be better to go with the 360 version. And of course I hear Bethesda will be releasing content much sooner then expected for the 360 version. One thing I will say I did the hard drive install and it seems that the game runs buttery smooth. And has very short load times. So clearly I think this has helped big-time.But I do have some gripes with this game. As a shooter it does feel fairly generic. And the graphics are well kind of bland. So my question is does the PS3 version look better slightly? I hear such a mixed bag on this?I will say Vats is pretty darn cool. But seems it will become somewhat repetitive maybe not? I'm not far into the game. I just completed clearing out the super duper mart. And went back to the chic in the little town to complete the quest for her book or whatever. I choose not to do anything else for her for now. Then I went to the saloon and met the guy and I accepted to blow up the bomb and to meet him at tenpenny tower. I have not done that yet. Is this a wise choice?Anyway what do you guys think of the game? Does the game just keep getting better? What about when I go to DC does that kick *** or what? What can I expect? Lets talk FALLOUT 3. PS3vs360 and just a ...
I found the 3rd Shiskebab schematic yesterday. Awesome weapon.Lets talk FALLOUT 3. PS3vs360 and just a ...
I found the 3rd Shiskebab schematic yesterday. Awesome weapon.
What is that?
A flaming sword you can build, the more schematics you get the more powerful it is. You can build custom weapons if you 1: Find their schematic and 2: Find the parts it takes to make them and 3: Find a work bench to make them at.
I went with the ps3 version becuase I for some reason get a better picture quality on my tv with the ps3 than with the 360.With exclusive dlc, the 360 will be the choice for people who play the same games for a very long time. I completed it twice (1 which ended way too fast since I focused too much on the main story and that can litterally be done in under 10 hours. 1 where I was thorough) and sold it again. The game has lots of replay value but if you're like me, you'll have seen what you need to see after a good and an evil playthrough. So if you think you will be playing this in 3 months, go 360. If you don't, go with whatever.Anyone who tells you that 1 version is vastly superior to the other is biased.  Oh, yeah, don't blow up Megaton before you're completely done. You want to finish all parts of the survival guide quest line.

I think this Game is a rare one....it cannot be summed up in a simple review, youtube video or recommendation from a friend, it simply needs to be experienced by all those that enjoy shooters or western RPG'sI bought my copy on 360 simply due to my other recently purchased game was FarCry2 on PS3, and I felt that both consoles deserve some attention, unfortunately I barely have time to play Fallout3 (yet I have time for forums :S) I bought the collectors Uk edition and the Collectors edition guide (which weighs in at over 400 pages of info, about 380 pages is game information)If you head for the main quest only, I doubt you will see more than 15 hours of gameplay, but after looking at the guide's content list, it seems that if you want to see everything, not only will you need a large amount of time to play it, but I can suggest that you won't see everything in a single playthrough as each Karma stage allows you to partake in different side missions and interact with other characters, and you will also commit actions that will cause other side missions to become permanently locked (before I bought the guide I killed a couple of ''minor'' characters that actually later had some purpose and could offer missions)Freedom is king is this game, I love that you can basically kill anyone that isn't integral to the storyline, I once wandered across a Travelling merchant with some great stuff for sale, but a severe cash deficiency meant that I couldn't buy some of his stuff (including a Nuka Cola bomb schematic and a ton of ammo) so I checked my inventory for anything spare for sale only to come across a stash of 5 mines and 6 frag grenades...so I chucked the mines and bombarded them with 'nades killing the traveller and his guard, not only did I nab all of his gear, I also helped my self to 900caps he had stashed...Its a great game that needs to be played....its not something to miss!
''Oh, yeah, don't blow up Megaton before you're completely done. You want to finish all parts of the survival guide quest line.'' You can still finish this quest even if you choose to blow up Megaton. Moira becomes a ghoul from the radiation of the blast, but she survives and takes shelter in the Underworld.
hehe, you got me there. I waited with blowing Megaton up on my evil playthrough and for the rest of my game she was standing outside Megaton. Did'nt go to underworld in that one though. But LOL when I met her again. Ofc, that annoying **** had to survive :)
Fallout 3 = PURE AWESOMENESS.People have been complaining about the framerate/pop-up. I haven't had any problems, yet.The framerate is as smooth as it can be expecte from an AAA game, and I just got about o.5-1 sec pop-up every... hour or so.I once had to reset the game because a glitch, but that in almost 9 hours is nothing, especially when the game is THAT good.
well i didnt think i was going to like this game because i didnt like oblivion. So i just picked it up and started playing it and i must say this game is a whole lot better then oblivion IMO. I got it for the ps3 for reliability issues. Plus i only use my 360 for exclusives.

My loading times are very min also. Here is one question I wnet in the saloon at megaton. And I took the quest frm the girl to go find her famly up on the bridge over the river. The west family I think it was. When I went in there littl home. They were 2 dead bodies. And I also bypassed the question to the dude garding the bridge when I went up there. I could of asked abou the west family but I did not and when I tried again it would not let me ask it again.Anyway so after I cam out of the home I just killed him and the other woman came out from not answering her door she ate some vats lead and got killed also. So I guess I blew that littl quest?Man this game is freaking AWSOME might be possibly best game ever mad. It is that good.

360 version is the best  from what ive seen it goes 360>PC>PS3
I have not played the PS3 version, so I cannot comment on the problems it has, but the 360 version is worth it for the exclusive DLC, alone.
I have not played the PS3 version, so I cannot comment on the problems it has, but the 360 version is worth it for the exclusive DLC, alone.
Well i'm so glad I went with the 360version. At first I was going to over look the exclusive content. And say na who cares the game is so big I'll get enough from that.WRONG the game is so freaking good. I will deffiantly be getting the extra content and it will most likely be huge with a whol new levels and chaptors. This game has climed into my top 3 games ever already. Right there with Dues Ex and Freedon Fighters. Half Life 1-2 I think just got bumped from Fallout 3 baby.My only true gripe is Bethesda please do something about the god awful 3rd person view when he looks like on ice skates with a pole up his ***? I mean really do not even include a 3rd person view if it is that bad.

Actually since PC/360 are both getting exclusive DLC and PC has the best graphics it's PC>360>PS3
