imo mostly yes, but then you get games scoring too high like Condemned 2, Far Cry 2, BIA HH. Games like L4D and COD WaW were inproperly placed among this year's releases.

Any game less than 9 is garbage and is not worth playing. Heck, I personally think any game below 9.5 is not worth playing and anything less than 9 is not worth even seeing.
It's true anything under a 9.0 is average trash and should be considered a rent.
