Why Isnt Devil May Cry 4 Getting Conside ...

I just Bought This game at Gamestop for $27(30% off) last night and so far despite that 22 mins installing, despite that the game doesnt break new grounds in graphics/gameplay(playing in SD) from the previous PS2 games, i must say so far out of all the games i played atleast on the PS3, this is up there. funny thing i've only spent an hr.But for those of went through the game already, will u give it considerations of game of the year? Not even close. I wouldn't even mention it. This game was horrible compared to all the good games.

Wait until you reach the middle part and you realize the game expects you to go back through everything you just did and like it.

Thats an understatement.
There's some stupid design choices, and it feels like all the other Devil May Cry games, aside from 2, with better graphics.

Because it just isn't that good. It's a decent game, but with far too much reused content (makes me think they were taking a few too many pointers from Halo) and isn't really anything new. I like it and all but GOTY material it is not.
See this is why i loved buying used games at gamestop because base on the responses, the game isnt all that and therfore i'm taking it right back to gamestop for a full refund.how long is the game and is Gamestop open on thanksgiving?
After all the other amazing, great, good and just plain above-average games out this year a disappointment like DMC4 was never going to get a look in. Sure it was fun, but a souped up version of a last gen game just doesn't cut it anymore. Capcom made some really stupid design choices with this one. It's got me slightly worried for RE5 as that just looks like a shiner version of RE4 (even the animations are the same) with a dumbass AI partner thrown in.
It's decent, but the overall design feels very identical to the previous games and the only thing it really improved on was the graphics. Gameplay is repetitive, voice acting was barely decent, music sucked, and there was no reason to play through it again. It's the second weakest DMC game that could have easily been done on last gen systems.
Beacause just because you really really like a game, it isn't necessarily a really really good game.
Its a great game, but Devil May Cry 3 is still better.
I find that DMC4 was one of the biggest disappointments of the year, didn't live up to the hype at all, terrible story, didn't have vergil and Nero's devil buster just made the game too easy. Also DMC3 is a VERY tough act to follow. DMC5 better be better.
