yep, I wonder how many more games their are like this out there. Hopefully Devs start letting us know about these types of problems, otherwise you will be filling up your HDD and have a worse gameplay experience for it. Bungie warns against full Halo 3 instal ...
yep, I wonder how many more games their are like this out there. My concern was more about how cognitive dissonnance works. Many people would be using the install feature regardless of the effect simply because they assume it's better.I'm pretty sure installing it won't make Halo 3 unplayable so you may not notice it. This is'nt a problem really, just thought it'd be nice to know.
I would never think about installing Halo3 anyway..the game works fine as it isBut good that Bungie let us know about this.
i installed it because of that huge crack on my disk... ;) to be honest i haven't noticed anything different or sower or anything
i wonder would this effectect oblivion and fallout 3 also? i know that oblivion definately uses the 360s HDD when its there for caching, similar to halo3.
i installed it because of that huge crack on my disk... ;) to be honest i haven't noticed anything different or sower or anything
Probably depends how full your HD already is.
I installed the Orange Box yesterday and didn't notice any significant decreases of loading times :(

Gonna try Fable 2 tonight because that game just causes my dvd drive to think it's a jet engine :P
Every game i've installed oblivion, gears of war, gears of war 2, mercs 2...ect all have obvious decreases in loading times and though my 360 was never a jet engine in sound i can still tell the disc is not being read.
I haven't really tried Halo 3 yet, but all my other games are nice and quick.
