Contender for best looking game of 09? ( ...

Sorry, Artistic views of video games are all subjective. Almost everyone is going to have their own favorite title, so it's not going to work.

Im really digging the look of Street Fighter 4 and Killzone 2. That one you listed TC, it looks okay but not that great imo.
Hmm I guess so. Still haven't really seen that many artistic games for 09 so I thought it was worth a shot.
based n art, Fable 2, based on technical looks, Gears 2.
video games are not artRoger Ebert
Is the movie fun? Yes. Especially when the desperate Bullock breaks into a ship's supply cabinet and finds a chainsaw, which I imagine all ships carry. And when pleasure boaters somehow fail to see a full-size runaway ocean liner until it is three feet from them. Movies like this embrace goofiness with an almost sensual pleasure. And so, on a warm summer evening, do I. Roger ebert about Speed 2...
Looks like an odin Sphere rip off.
Looks like an odin Sphere rip off.
It sort of does. But, it's nice Japanese art nonetheless.

Either Machinarium
or Whispered World

Team ICO's new game, if released in 2009, will destroy even Oboro Muramasa Youtouden.

Those kinds of games are just paintings made into games. Shadow of the Colossus was able to create a world that if you were to sit still and point the camera in any direction, it would like *like* a painting, yet not be one technically. Painted games look very nice but when you can get 3D graphics to look like a painting, then you win in artistic design.

It is the spiritual successor to Odin Sphere and is made by the exact same team under George Kamitani.
I'm sure I'll loe whateve Insomniac cooks up for Ratchet %26 Clank Future: (insert snazzy title here). I think Killzone 2 and SFIV looks great too.
I thought World of goo artstyle was nice =)

A game may be >technically< better because it runs in 3D but that doesn't make it >artistically<  better. :) ~anyway if we're going to talk about 3D games, I'd go with the Wind Waker =)
No. They aren't.Art and design have rules and guidelines, just like everything else in the world. There is good art and bad art, just like there are good games and bad games. Some people like bad games just like some people like bad art.If it was all just subjective then there wouldn't be art schools.
The game looks good but nothing to right about in my opinion. Really game that have great art style will always have an subjective view no matter how gorgeous a game looks and feel, everyone have a different mind leading to various different opinions that we might agree on or not. A game like Windwaker was absolutely gorgeous for me but many people tend to disagree because they just don't realize how much work it can take to develop it.
