My damned 360's disc reader is shot, piece of crap! This is my second one too, why dont they find some better parts to put in these damn things? I mean theres got to be a problem with the hardware if people i know go through 4 of the god damned things in 2 years. How many 360s have you gone through? Damn you Microsoft!!!Why 360? WHY?!

I don't know why ask them yourself.
you can always fix it and put better parts in
Why?? Because MS knew they didn't have a chance competing head to head with Sony and Nintendo. So MS decided to rush production to get X360 to market a year early. Despite warnings from their own engineers they launched a defective product. What I don't understand is why after 3 years they still can't get it right. Here is a link that explains it better: http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2008/nov/13/xbox-truth
they all use the cheepest parts they can to keep the cost per unit down, M$ just shopped at a bargin bin instead of a bidding war
MS copied Sony on making the 360 like the PS2 right down to bad Disc Drives.

M$ is pissing me off too though not because of hardware THIS TIME I still haven't got my free 512mb card for NXE and now i got an e-mail that says i gave the wrong address so i double check and everything and its right and now i don't know what to do. for being just a company they sure stress me out a lot

So what? It's MS 2nd console, Sony's second console had the exact same problem and they're hardware experts!!! didn't stop it from being one of the best consoles ever - fact :)

Where is your proof? Lemmings have been lying and making excuses all along for Microsoft. Oh it's fixed with the Xclamps, it's fixed with the bigger heatsink, the Elite version totally fixes it, Halo edition definetly fixed it, HDMI mobo fixed it, Falcon fixed it, etc.... It's all false, MS has infact admitted it is a design defect and every single X360 has the defect. It just doesn't show up right away, some last for awhile some don't. And sorry but RROD 100x >>>> DRE. A lot of my friends still have their original PS2 and it works fine, my brother still uses his as his main DVD player. And there is one huge difference between PS2 and X360, Sony actually fixed the problem, MS still doesn't have a fix. The unit you get back from MS is just as defective and just as likely to RROD again. edit: 3picuri3 Sorry if that sounded angry, it's not specifically directed at you. This is one issue that gets me all fired up. :) Just makes me upset when people defend MS on this because it's wrong what they did.
lol. ps2 had higher failure rate than 360? lol.. rightttttnow you guys are living in denial. Oh well, ignorance is bliss.
This was the #1 reason I didn't buy a 360.Good luck getting it fixed.
Disc drives problems have happened for me 2 times with my ps1, one time with my ps2 and once with my xbox 360.Definatly sucks man

Ps3 got the games too, imo this year the PS3 takes it hands down.
There is no excuse for the 360 shoddy hardware, only Lemming fanboys will downplay it and even deny it.
