Microsoft accidentally advertised PlayStation
Source: http://n4g.com/News-234215.aspx I'm surprised how MS could make such a mistake. Using a playstation controller to advert ...How could MS be that stupid? Using a playstation controller to advert ...
woa is that for real?
But is that the PS controller or just Logitech's version of it?
But is that the PS controller or just Logitech's version of it?
Logitech's most likely... seems like the buttons have white numbers on them, meaning it is Logitech's.
Is this really for Real?? lmao:lol:
SONY sez: Thanks alot M$! Seriously though, everyone knows the PlayStation controller. Its a symbol of gaming itself.
i would bet its logitech's version. but not many people would know about that so it was kinda dumb on their part
LOL kinda funny.
Microsoft biased towards the PS3 confirmed. Now we know the real reason why they made the RROD.

- Advertising is most of the time done by contractor companies not the company it self.
- When did one have to be dumb to make a mistake?
- Your using n4g the scum of the gaming webs.
I still fail to see the fail in this ad. I mean would it really matter even if they were PS3 controllers? From Microsoft's pov Vista has nothing to do with the console war. PC can use gamepads and other accessories from hundreds of different manufacturers, one ad won't change that, those pads are pretty popular among PC gamers so it's not shocking they were used.
There just isn't a facepalm big enough for this one :?
I can think of atleast three third party controllers that look similar to the dualshock.
Could well be a 3rd party thing, but it's probably because it's the most recognisable controller is why they did it, or they just weren't thinking, or it's fake, I mean what PC games have 2 player?
LOL microsoft...llooollll But hey atleast they know which is the best console, PLAYSTATION.

Not many, but there are a few out there. There are only three or four major splitscreen ones, but you can easily run two versions of the game on one computer in windowed mode side by side and use hamachi to local lan it from the same computer. I highly doubt that the kids on that ad are smart enough to do that, or let alone know how to use hamachi, but technically if you have a good enough computer any game with LAN options can be played multiplayer.
