Last Remnant Combat Gameplay on 360 - Un ...

Hey guys,Just recently took a peak at The Last Remant (360 timed exclusive by Square-Enix) and some gameplay footage of the combat system, and while the game looks good, graphically and in terms of gameplay, can anyone note the severe framerate issues that plague the game?  I'm hoping this won't be present in the final 360 version. We see complete object pop-ins, framerate variability, severe stuttering and complete slowdowns, as though the game engine is pushing the 360's GPU to the threshold.Hopefully, the PS3 and PC versions of the game will not have those sideeffects due to the delay to their release, the fact that installation is an option.  It may be that the game's optical disc streaming approach on the 360 isn't too well optimized. Here's the link to the GameTrailers Deadlock Battle Gameplay : http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42975.html And here it is in HD :  http://www.gametrailers.com/player/42974.htmlLast Remnant Combat Gameplay on 360 - Un ...
they wanted the 360 to get the cruddy version and will wait to release the better versions on the better console and the pc.:lol:Last Remnant Combat Gameplay on 360 - Un ...
I sure hope the PS3 and PC versions won't be so gimped : the 360 version is the scapegoat in this context.
hmm i see the sloppy framerates. but the enemies appearing a dissapearing is part of the game. it didn't look like pop in to me.

I have this game pre purchased but I am actually nervous about it with this and what I read in gameinformer

ARE YOU SERIOUS?!Look at these vids: http://kotaku.com/5078847/baffling-gameplay-videos-from-the-last-remnantJudging by these videos this game is a techical failure. Japanese devs should stick to their own engines and drop the UE3.UE3 is over-used this gen.LR is going to loose some serious points because of the issues even if the story is good, the faults make the experience plain bad.

We're all entitled to opinions.

You don't know that, we'd have to wait and see. If the 360 version gets some major negative reception i'm sure they'll try to add more stuff and fix things up just like other late games ported to PS3.

I'm not saying it will happen or it won't happen. I'm just saying you can't say it won't happen.

Unless you're from the future.
Wishful thinking? To be honest, I don't see more then an 7.5 for this game (Internet avg)
thats because the unreal engine 3 sucks it did the same on lost odyssey and blue dragon
That did look pretty shoddy, not that I care, I have zero intrest in this one.
This is like people comparing which version of the new Need for Speed runs better....who cares!? crap is crap :P
ugh i was talking about the enemies fading in and out. THAT looks like its meant to be there. but i wasn't watching the background for rocks and stuff poppin in. sorry i should have cleared that up.EDIT: I thaught square-enix had their own engine made, euphoria(not sure on the name) or something like that. why would they use UE3. ugh if they use UE3 on the upcomming FF's they're both gonna fail hard. that engine isn't made for RPG's.
So much for Square claiming the 360 is easier to dev for.
The Last Remnant will be a 7.0 or less, no matter which system it's on. I was going to cancel my pre-order but Amazon.com dropped the pre-order price to $39.96, so I guess I might as well keep it.
Square Enix aren't half throwing out some cheap jobs lately, it is like they are desperate for income any way they can.You think the costs and development difficulties of the latest Final Fanasty on PS3 is killing them? It's probably costing more than MGS4 to make that game, not many developers can afford to pour 10s of millions into one title. If it is a 7 range rating game and is a decent port I may pick it up for PC, PC JRPGs are rare; when one appears it should get some support to encourage future releases.
