Left 4 Dead.. I MIGHT Change my mind abo ...

the last couple days I know i made some threads really hard on Left 4 Dead saying it was garbage because honestly I wasnt impressed with the demo at all and thought it was being overhyped by the critics, BUT as a gamer I thought i would keep an open mind so I watched the Gamespot review and the versus mode actually looks kind of fun, so despite all the harsh threads ive made about this game lately, i might JUST MIGHT consider getting this game if the versus mode is as good people say it is.. So, which is better the coop or versus mode and is the versus mode really fun?Left 4 Dead.. I MIGHT Change my mind abo ...
The Versus mode is 10x better than just the co-op. Its like the co-op, only 4 other players command the special zombies (boomer, smoker, hunter, and occasionally a tank). It is increadbly fun.Left 4 Dead.. I MIGHT Change my mind abo ...
I found the versus mode to be better than the co-op. You rely much more on your team mates and if you wander from the group it's almost guarenteed you will die. Playing as Zombies is also a blast, especially as the Smoker and Tank.
Yea it sounds fun, I might go trade in resistance 2 and buy L4D, so the versus mode is basically survival, if your the zombies your goal is to prevent the humans from escaping and if your the humans your goal is to escape? sound right?
why change your mind because of a review? i'm not getting it because it just seems like a mod from counter strike, which it probably is.

The survivors only have one life each. Believe me, It's a much more frantic and rewarding experience. Draining even. Sometimes you have no choice but to leave your teammates behind (Left 4 Dead :P). It's probably the game to have this year to play with friends.

i love zombies ... and BRAINS!

Although i guess it depends which system you get it for.

[/QUOTE] While this is true with a Valve game on PC...but the TF2 community died pretty quickly on 360.Plus L4D has a very limited amount of content. Nothing to earn, progress, unlock...I can only see myself enjoying it for a month or so before I stop.
The co-op is definitely fun, but the versus mode is insanely better, playing as the super infected is so satisying when you have a plan work and all the survivors are getting dominated, it's a shame the game only lets you play two of the campaigns in versus, tough.
the versus mode isn't all that different it's just harder and you get to be the zombies I'd say if you didn't like the demo you won't like the full game
The vs mode was way better that I expected, only played it little this far but it's very satisfying playing as both the survivors and the infected against human players. It brings that ''all eyes on you'' feeling and makes it very competitive game by any scale. But I think I still prefer the coop, both can get insanely intense at times but I felt the coop offered more complete and cinematic experience. The game is the most fun I've had this gen, I'm still shaking a bit from the hectic ending in my last game. Even if it won't last that long it would still be worth the price imo, quality > quantity, it was true for EP2 and Portal, and it's true for L4D as well, I'm glad Valve has realized this.
