Most epically terrifying? Witches.

If your playing on expert it's easily the tank.
boomer.  you can hear it from a MILE away, but have no idea where it's going to come at you from.Most destructive?  Tank, by far.  It can tear up your team to shreds, especially in expert.
I hate Smokers with a passion. Witches are definiately the most eerie, though.
ive never played on anything but expert. but im gunna say smokers are the most annoying esp when your friends all leave you or dont know you are caught up because they are too busy taking care of themselves. also id like to add.. ''TANK RUN!!!!''
Smokers.I've been killed/damaged by those annoying bastards more than every other boss zombie combined. 
There are few things worse than turning a corner and seeing a witch sitting directly in your path.Although on Expert, Tanks are pretty much team killers.
Tanks on expert because unless you have a preplaned way to take one out in the given area you are probably going to die. Any other difficulty it's the boomer, and scary as hell goes to the witch.

Annoying Boomer. If he shows up at the end of a wave, it prolongs it. And I hate to be a buzz kill, but why is this is System Wars?
I'd say boomer just because they probably have the biggest effect on the group but it really depends cuz if you're already getting whalloped by a horde and they're all around you and a hunter pounces on you you're basically screwed.same goes if your looking for ammo and a smoker gets you. same if all of your team is on the last revive and the tank pops upand the witch isn't really that bad she's really only a pain in the crowds but if you find her by herself it's a simple oh you killed me now you run away get revived continue. it's just annoying that she makes you turn off your lights and fire carefully when you hear her weeping.and yes I've played on expert  
Hunters just because they can jump FREAKING FAR!!

Hunters. When a boomer attacks you, you have time to get out unharmed. When a smoker attacks you, you have a small interval where you can shoot him. But when a hunter attacks you, you're at the mercy of your teammates. Nothing you can do yourself.
Smokers always get me for some reason. :(
