beating out icons like Snake, Cloud, and Chrono...but the ultimate question is still here...which is the best Link? http://www.gamefaqs.com/oh I was also surprised to see Cloud take 3rd.. the FF characters were sweeping the prelims and I though Cloud would have gotten at least 2nd  who do YOU think should have taken the title? well it looks like Link is the best char ...

Pac-man FTW. I don't like Link, merely because he can't talk, and is therefore in my opinion flat. And he has absolutely no character progression that would allow you to like him... people only like him for style, and nostalgia. And because he's in good games.
