What companies or people in the gaming i ...

Jack Thompson certainly does. He just has a bad way of showing it.But also, I have to say that Nintendo didn't have to make Super Mario Galaxy as good as it is, and it still would've sold just as well. You may pull up ''Wii Music,'' but honestly, Miyamoto sees something different in it than everyone else.I think Valve is pretty generous with their offers on Steams and regular updates to some of their games, free of charge. What say you? What companies or people in the gaming i ...
EA Sports NHL09. Those guys play the game just as much as we do. It also gives you faith in it, because you know they wouldn't release something they wouldn't play...and they are also very good about patching, they just released a huge update for it.And I give EA credit again with Criterions Burnout Paradise. Sure Criterion makes the addons, but EA has to ok giving them away for free. Strange when you see so much EA hate, yet they always give back to the players in every game of theirs I own. Dead Space anyone? What companies or people in the gaming i ...
The small ones like Stardock, they have to since they have no huge market departments forcing the game down people's throats, only way these games sell is by being good.
Konami + MGS4... made for the fans!
StarDock is pretty awesome, because they pull profits from their non-gaming related software development, so they pretty much make games for the sake of making great games.
I believe that Team Ico cares.
I don't know but they all care about our money.
Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions who take all their times to deliver masterpieces!
Most developers. If they didn't have the passion and the joy, they likely would not be in the industry.

I honestly would not say the same about most publishers and executives.
I believe that Team Ico cares.
I was about to post something dystopic but you know........I believe Team Ico cares as well.
Rockstar Games, obviously. :
|Players to the players
Players to the players
developers of vampire the masquerade bloodlines
they released alot of unofficial patches after their gamestudio had crashed

miyamoto, kojima and that rap ist whom made ninja gaiden and dead or alive series
I think Miyamoto and Kojima care about ''the game''. But I also think that now, many companies stop caring about the gamer and the ''industry'' itself, and just care about the money...shame.
Shigeru Miyamoto

I'm sure almost all game devs care about ''the game''. I dunno about the guys that are higher up in the food chain. But i can say that miyamoto cares for the games.
Ted Price and InsomniacRockstarKojima
I agree, Miyamoto is great. Nintendo themselves (the people who run it) are not. We need a new comer from Japan(Sega was good but they were terrible business men) that is a very big company (not Sony, a NEWCOMER) who can take Miyamoto and give him new hardware and innovations a long with the freedom to make great games. Sadly though even if something like this could happen I think he is one of those Japanese with that solid sense of loyalty. THINK ABOUT YOURSELF, DAMNIT!!''
Miyamoto admitted himself that he doesn't play games, but the fact that he himself said ''A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever'' really shows how much care he puts into a product before it ships out. Kind of makes me wonder why can't other developers delay the release of a game so that they can smooth it out and make sure every tiny little detail is perfected before it gets released. I really feel that's something that developers have been overlooking because of the patch they can release just so the game can be shipped by the Holiday deadline.
